This was a witty, clever read that left me guessing, frustrated, confused -- but in a good way. In short: A young man wakes up in a hospital, completely unaware of who or where he is, or what has happened to him. As he begins to piece his life back together, he learns his wife and he are in the process of getting a divorce. We gradually come to understand that he wasn't a saint in their marriage, but we're not sure he deserves this fate, either. I wanted to grab our hero by the shoulders and give him a good shake on more than one occasion. But the plot twists and his good intentions kept me interested to the end.

I bought this book by mistake (don't ask)
I am not sorry. From the begining you have huge empathy with the first person, dwindles, comes back and dwindles again. An emotional rollecoster with no guarenteened end. loved it...Very busy book.
Wonderful story. Imagine having to find out who you are and then maybe tweeking a few things that you don't like and becoming a better you! Loved it, loved it!
John O'Farrell is one of my favorite authors, and this book is no exception. I enjoyed every minute of reading
A warm understanding shines through this book, about a topic increasingly of interest A plausible plot does have some twists and turns, eliciting our sympathy for all of the protoganists. A thoroughly good read.
This book is a quite funny. I read it in a day and a half and had a few laughs along the way.
There are more than a few home truths in the set-up here.
The author must have been though a similar set of experiences, or at least been close to
something similar. A good read.
Funny,refreshing, slightly longish complicated conclusion but I had been stuck in a"world War 2 genre and this up beat book helped my heart
