This is a beautiful, but rocky romance. Loved the story.

They have known each other since they were children. Maggie, daughter of a well-off family, visiting her great-aunt every summer and Canyon, the boy from the other side of the tracks. They had been best friends, but things change after Canyon returns from working on a cruise ship, with a different girl every day. People warn Maggie against him, but they still have their old feelings and try to prove to everyone that this is different.
The story is fairly straight forward, with the typical descriptions of self-doubt and friends and an ex trying to separate them.
But quite entertaining and it was definitely fun to read.
I had received this book as an ARC, and I honestly enjoyed reading the story, like all of the Indigo Bay stories so far.
Sweet Reunion is the 11th book in the Indigo Bay series. This installment was written by Stacy Claflin.

This was a sweet romance. Maggie and Canyon were childhood friends and they ran into each other as adults. It is a rich girl, poor boy love story. It was a story that left me feeling good after reading it.

The one thing that bothered me was that Maggie had secret that made her feel she was defective and no man would want her. When the secret was revealed, it seemed pathetic that she felt that because of it, she had nothing to offer a man. It was good that her aunt and Canyon both told her otherwise.

I look forward to reading other books in the series.

I love quick reads during the summer. I also love books that have great original story lines, not the same ol' boy meets girl, had previous crush, etc,. This book had original story lines intermingled and I loved it. This story was very relate-able. The main characters are from two sides of the track (rich and barely making it). He went off to work on a cruise ship (fast, quick, money). She is staying with rich Aunt. The small town judgments/whispers happening are so true. I found the book to be accurate/believable and original don't want to give away the book, but love how things worked out in the end. I couldn't put it down and stayed up a bit past when I should have, but the fatigue the next day was so worth it.

This is a typical romance story. Two kids that grew up together that we're too scared to admit thier feelings are reunited as grown ups and fall in love. As usual, she's a southern Belle with a most of what she's ever needed readily available and he is from the wrong side of the tracks. Her family and friends don't accept him, not only because he doesn't have money but because he has a reputation of bouncing from woman to woman. Maggie had her heart broken by a cruel ex fiance and is hiding a secret from her family, but confides in her childhood crush. Together they find that thier old feelings are still there and stronger than ever. There is a hurdle they have to overcome, but they do and have a solid HEA.

This is a great beach read, something to pass the time while you relax and take a moment to unwind.
Maggie & Canyon knew each other in school. They ended up going their separate ways but are coincidentally back in town at the same time. Due to a broken engagement & some bad medical news, Maggie has sworn off men & relationships. Even if she was looking, Canyon is not a good prospect. While working on a cruise line, he led a fast & wild life that his hometown is gossiping about. No one thinks they'll be a good match now, except Canyon. Maggie is willing not to be friends. She doesn't think anyone will accept her condition. Just as they start getting serious, her ex shows up with fantastic news! What will Maggie do now?

I've never harbored such negative feelings about a character in a romance. I abhorred Maggie's ex. What an jerk! Maggie & her condition engage the readers sympathies but her ex's actions make that feeling even deeper. This was a nice, sweet romance that was a joy to read.
Maggie Kendrick has returned to Indigo Bay to recover from a broken engagement. Canyon Leblanc has come back after several years of working for a cruise line, but his reputation as a womanizer has preceded him and there are those who are set on keeping him and Maggie apart. The two were close in years past, but can they again be friends, or even more, and help each other find their way through the changes life has dealt them?

Stacy Claflin does an excellent job of bringing these two characters to life so that the reader feels as if she knows them. I also enjoyed getting to know the personalities and motivations of others who play a role in shaping their story.

The reader celebrates the highs and feels disappointment at the lows in their relationship. Ms. Claflin cleverly works in a few unexpected surprises in the story, so that even though this is a love story and the reader pretty much knows if there will be a happy ending, there are still moments where you wonder if it will indeed work out the way you expect.

This is an easy book to read and is one you can pull out to enjoy when you don’t have a lot of spare time. Well, that is, unless you are like me and find that you just don’t want to put it down!

I have yet to be disappointed in any of her books, so I requested an advance copy from the author and was delighted when she sent one. A positive review was not required or promised, but I am happy to say that I can recommend yet another of her books to romance readers.
