I am a serial reader. The Celtic Brooch is one of my favorite series. I have read each book several times, and I know I will read them again.
Katherine Lowry Logan is a gifted author with an amazing ability to tell a story. She has a vivid imagination and a remarkable vocabulary. Her research is unbelievable; She would go to New York City or Italy to find an answer. She also has a great sense of humor and has made me laugh out loud many times. I appreciate that very much!

The Diamond Brooch is the 7th book in the saga of the Fraser Clan. It is every bit as enjoyable as the first six books of the series.

Amy Spaulding is an ESPN sports analyst. She was last seen going into the NYC mansion of her three -times great grandmother. She had recently inherited it. The next time she was seen was on a book cover in the iconic picture of Ty Cobb sliding into third base in a game in Detroit in 1909.

This is an stunning story of family, friends, and love. This is another well researched book with brilliant information about the game of baseball in 1909, the life of New Yorkers, the fashion, and the treatment of women in1909

I recommend if this your first book, go back and start with The Ruby Brooch to appreciate the story of the Fraser Clan.

I am already curious about what is going to happen to the Frasers in the 8th book.

What a wonderful surprise to get notified via email that yet another "Brooch" book was out. Immediately downloaded it and started reading it. I quickly realized that I had forgotten a few important names and plot lines in the previous book (The Three Brooches). So, of course I had to go back to that book first and ended up reading the entire book again! Finished The Diamond Brooch and must say that Katherine hit this one out of the park! Love every book in this series but this one could possibly be my favorite. So many interesting historical characters woven into a plot with tons of twists and turns. I post as Professed Read-aholic and with good reason. Read both The Three Brooches and The Diamond Brooch in two days! Am delighted to hear Elliott say that there are a total of ten brooches. Can not wait for the next book in the series. If you like time travel and wonderful history interwoven with well developed fictional characters, this is the book series for you! So happy that the author includes all the characters and their relationships at the beginning of each book. There is now a CAST of characters and sometimes it is hard to remember who is who and who belongs to whom.
For the last couple of books, our hero Jack Mallory has been totally irresponsible and selfish. His totally reckless actions have endangered not only the entire mission, but also those who love and admire him. I was totally frustrated with him that I not only wanted to slap him silly, I wanted to shake him until his pea brain turned to mush. And, I am the most non-violent person you will find. This book brilliantly and beautifully rehabilitates his character totally. I not only want to hug Jack now but I totally love him. Shock of shocks! And Amy Spalding was perfect for Jack!

This book also continues JL and Kevin's relationship, which runs onto some shaky ground.

As usual, the amount of first rate research involved in this book shines. Please, please don't stop writing these books, Ms. Lowry Logan. I just love them so! As a matter of fact, I'm going back and reading all the previous books for the third time right this minute! I just hate leaving this lovely world you have created. ;)

In her dependable way, she has given us a delightful, well-researched story of ESPN commentator Amy Spalding who is swept back in time to 1909 New York City. Our beloved, dysfunctional, broken-hearted Jack Mallory has gone back with this MacKlenna Adventure Company team to save her, with no intention of falling in love. After so many adventures back in time, Jack should know never to bet against a brooch. New dynamic characters are welcomed into the family in this fast-paced, detail oriented, chock full of baseball tome. While not the shortest of beach reads, the entertainment and mystery never stops. You can always count on Katherine Lowry Logan to deliver a grand adventure. This has become my favorite brooch book yet!
The Diamond Brooch by Katherine Lowry Logan is the 7th book in a wonderful series, and each book introduces a different time and era. This story is about a woman who inherits a diamond brooch with a mysterious engraving, which propels her back to 1909 New York City after reading it out loud. How is she going to survive without money or even a safe place to live? While she is starting to adjust to life in the past, a group of time-travelers from her own time arrive to bring her home, but each of them has a load of problems they carry without admitting it. They are facing the demons of their own pasts, while trying to figure out how to bring Amy home without changing history. And what are the consequences of their actions?

I won't go into details about the story line of this book, the description is a perfect summary of what the book is about, and I don't want to give away any surprises. The book made me laugh out loud, made me cry, and most importantly made me feel as if I was right there!

The author has been doing a fantastic job researching life in the early 1900's, taking us from the streets of New York City to the luxury of ocean liners, from dusty baseball fields to the breathtaking beauty of the hills and towns in Tuscany. It is so far my favorite book in the series and I can't wait to find out where the future brooches may take us.
